Cultivate a culture of engagement 
We serve as leaders and educators for our peers about the power of giving back through time, talent, and treasure.  

Mobilize our community for impact 
We host events that engage every student in the College and showcase the many ways that they can make an impact to support fellow students and generations of Maroons to come. 

Shape the future of philanthropy 
We lead student fundraising campaigns to secure support for the programs and initiatives that make the College so distinctive. 

STAT delivers programs that showcase the power and impact of volunteerism and philanthropy for the College. Members are undergraduate leaders who are committed to building a strong campus community and deepening connections between students and alumni. Students from all classes and majors are welcome to join. Every year, STAT leads and supports signature events that elevate College and University traditions, bring alumni to campus, and raise funds that support student programs and experiences. STAT members work closely with the University’s Office of Advancement to develop strategies for events, networking, and philanthropic campaigns such as the Senior Class Gift.

Members will organize, support, and promote key annual events, including Homecoming Week, Giving Tuesday, Hot Chocolate Night, Giving Day, and Alumni Weekend. Members will engage with University Advancement staff and alumni leaders in professional development and networking events, and apply the skills and strategies they learn in their service as peer leaders. When you join STAT, you will join a community of UChicago leaders who share a commitment to sustaining and elevating the excellence of the College. You will also sharpen your skills in event planning, marketing, fundraising, stewardship, and volunteer leadership.

Members are expected to:

• Attend regular STAT meetings.
• Support strategic planning for philanthropic goals.
• Organize, support, and promote annual campus events and experiences.
• Make a gift of any size to support your favorite College program (scholarships, internships, research, study abroad, athletics, RSOs, and more).
